The Sayreville Auxiliary Police Association, Inc. is a unique nonprofit organization made up of men and women who volunteer their time to serve the citizens of the Borough of Sayreville alongside the Sayreville Police Department in a law enforcement capacity. These volunteers are trained to provide the Department with additional resources for community events, parades, crowd and traffic control at major events and disasters, as well as routine patrol.
Although we receive tremendous support from the Borough of Sayreville, our budget is small. We rely on private donations to fund our recruiting efforts — pamphlets, website development, and recruitment advertising — as well as general equipment such as flashlights, uniform updates, and body armor to ease the burden on our volunteer officers.
